Missing Paintings
Missing Paintings is an ongoing series about the relationship between place and absence. In the work, absence is communicated through the silhouettes of paintings that once hung on the wall. While these absences are, of course, false, their presence recontextualizes often overlooked spaces, imbuing them with a sense of history that they would otherwise lack. The final works are as much about this false history as they are about the missing works.
